Parade
The parade features the following types of entries: cars, trucks, bands, floats, and individuals sponsored by participating individuals and community partnerships. For entry information, click here. The Denton Juneteenth Freedom Day Parade will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Participants should begin lining up at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall East, with the parade stepping off promptly at 9:30 a.m. The parade route begins at City Hall East and travels east along E. Hickory Street. The procession then turns south onto Crawford Street before continuing west on E. Sycamore Street. From E. Sycamore, the route proceeds south on Bradshaw Street and then turns west onto Wilson Street. The parade concludes at Fred Moore Park by turning north on Lakey Street and entering the park grounds. The total parade route is approximately one mile in length.
