Make the most of your next meeting in Denton!

With a variety of activities and attractions, we’re the perfect city to provide a memorable event for attendees. Denton is a creative incubator, with a rich and diverse culture, and support of the arts. The city offers unique experiences built around small businesses, culture, and history. Take your trip to the next level with these ideas for your visit!

AFTER CHECK-IN | After checking into your hotel, if you have time, start your Denton trip by visiting our historic downtown square. We suggest starting here to see what Denton has to offer (and you’ll likely want to make a trip back if you have extra time!) Toast the sunset on LSA Burger Co rooftop patio. Enjoy a sweet treat at Beth Marie’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream. Catch a live music performance at Dan’s Silverleaf
With a variety of dining, entertainment, and shopping options, no matter what time you arrive, you’ll find something happening on the square!

MORNING | Start your morning out at Egg House Cafe. Opening early at 7 AM and located less than two miles from the Convention Center, Egg House Cafe is a convenient and casual brunch spot. Using the freshest ingredients available and buying from local vendors whenever possible, they serve breakfast until they close at 2 PM. They offer a variety of gluten-free options, as well as a range of healthy substitutions, so you’ll be ready to attend your meeting or conference with a hearty start.

Have a little extra time before your first meeting? Stop by Books & More next door to Egg House Cafe to pick up some reading material while you sit by the pool or wind down in your hotel room for the evening.

MID-DAY | If your meeting has a break around lunch we recommend heading back to the square. No matter your taste, the square has a variety of options. Grab lunch at one of our many delicious restaurants like The Chestnut Tree, Layalina Mediterranean Restaurant, 940’s Kitchen and Cocktails, or Thai Square. (If you’re bringing a group we always recommend calling ahead to be sure they can accommodate.)

Have a little extra time before your next meeting? Use the time to pick up some souvenirs at shops like the Discover Denton Visitor Center or Norman Roscoe and take a bag of retro candies back to your teammates from Atomic Candy.

AFTERNOON | Looking for activities to entertain a group? The Horse’s Axe provides recreational axe throwing and billiards tables to provide a unique excursion for your attendees. Their staff are trained axe coaches and provide safety tips and throwing techniques to help you stick your throw. Space is limited, so book your lanes ahead of time.

Need some other ideas? Build terrariums at True Leaf Studio or paint canvases at Painting with a Twist

You won’t want to miss happy hour in Denton. Stop by Miss Angeline's, a trendy cocktail bar with an abundance of indoor and patio seating. There’s something for every taste here. Though they are best known for their cocktails on tap, they also have a wide selection of bourbon and craft beers.

EVENING | Enjoy dinner and the evening on the square. Dine at Tim Love’s Queenie’s Steakhouse. A contemporary take on the classic American steakhouse, Queenie’s provides a fine dining experience right in the heart of Denton. It is also home to Back Dough, a late-night doughnut spot serving up sweet and savory treats after 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.

A nightcap awaits you at Paschall’s Bar, Denton’s speakeasy. Serving traditional and original handcrafted cocktails in a cozy and classic environment, end the night and your business trip on a memorable note!
