Denton is rolling out the red carpet for our very own Breanna Nix! We're throwing a celebration as big as Texas itself, featuring a community parade concert you won't want to miss. Join us as we show Breanna just how proud her hometown is, with local businesses joining in the fun with sweet treats, live music, and a whole lot of Denton love. A proud Denton native, Breanna has captured the hearts across the country with her powerhouse voice, down-to-earth charm, and unmistakable star quality. Now, she's coming back to celebrate with the community - and you're invited to be part of the magic.

Parade Route

The celebration kicks off at 4:30 PM with a lively community parade around the historic Downtown Denton Square. This high-energy event is our way of showing hometown pride for Breanna Nix and sharing Denton’s spirit with the nation on live TV during the finale on May 18. Expect festive floats, cheering fans, music, and a whole lot of Denton energy! Roads around the square will be barricaded before the event, so arrive early to find parking and grab a great spot along the route. It’s the perfect way to experience Denton’s heart and be part of a truly unforgettable homecoming.

American Idol Parade UPDATE

Free Concert

After the parade, the celebration continues with a free live concert featuring Breanna Nix, starting at 7:00 PM in front of the Discover Denton Visitor Center. Breanna will take the stage to perform for her hometown fans in an unforgettable night of music, gratitude, and community pride. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, grab a treat from local vendors, and get ready to sing along under the Denton sky. Whether you’ve followed her journey since the beginning or just discovered her talent, this is your chance to experience a rising star live — right where it all began.

Downtown Parking

These lots are available to park for free at any time of the week, all within a quick stroll to the square and surrounding areas.

All of the parking in downtown Denton is free with the exception of half of the parking lot closest to Wells Fargo.
