For over four decades, Jonuzi’s Pizza has been sharing its New Jersey family recipes with the Denton community. Their tomato sauce and pizza dough are made in-house by the Jonuzi family, creating a classic, crave-worthy pizza that keeps locals and visitors coming back!
The Tomato Pizza

The Tomato Pizza holds a special place in Denton pizza lore — it’s a continuation of the Flying Tomato legacy famous with UNT students and longtime locals. Known for big, hearty pizzas with a soft yet slightly crisp crust and generous cheese and toppings, it’s especially famous for its Chicago-style stuffed pizzas and pizza by the slice. Located in the Austin St. Food Truck park behind East Side, this is the perfect place to grab a slice and hang out!
Crooked Crust Pizza

Located right on Fry Street near the University of North Texas, Crooked Crust is a favorite thanks to its unlimited toppings policy (yes — stack as many as you want) and is open until 3 AM on Friday and Saturday nights. You can mix and match toppings, split a pizza into quarters with different flavors, and walk out with something exactly how you want it.
Aglio Pizzeria

This spot specializes in wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizzas with fresh, seasonal ingredients and a long-fermented dough that makes for a light and flavorful crust. Located within a yoga studio that transforms into their dining room, Aglio’s has limited hours (usually Thu-Sat evenings) and a rotating menu, which makes it feel special and worth planning around.
