Thursday Twilight Tunes sets the tone on Thursday nights in Downtown Denton

Twilight Tunes sets the tone for the weekend every Thursday night in May and June in downtown Denton with the presentation of the Denton Main Street Association’s Twilight Tunes concert series.  Join the fun on Thursday evenings on the Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square lawn, 110 W. Hickory Street from 6:30 to 8 p.m..  The concert is held on the west side of the Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square lawn in May, and in June moves to the east side of the courthouse lawn.  Admission is FREE.

Bring your friends and family, get a meal-to-go from one of the many downtown eateries, bring a blanket or chairs, and enjoy an evening of great live music as the sun sets over downtown Denton.  The 2012 series offers an eclectic assortment of music for all listeners.  Thursday Twilight Tunes is the perfect way to kick off the weekend early and listen to some of the best local bands in the Denton area.

This is the 19th season for this long-standing tradition in historic downtown Denton.  Twilight Tunes is the reason to stay in town for summer fun this season.

May 17 –          B-Luv and The Money Makers – 50’s and 60’s Rhythm and Blues

May 24 –          Rob Donnelly – Texas Country

May 31 –          Miss Polly and Her Tiny Big Band – Interactive Musical Show for Kids and Adults

June 7 –           The Dave Thomas Band – Classic Rock/Blues/Country

June 14 –        The Fun Addix– 70’s & 80’s Classic Rock

June 21 –        Tenacious Root – Eclectic Mix

June 28 –        Bone Doggie and the HSH Band – Americana/Blues

July 5 –            Lisa Markley and her band of Ne’er –Do-Wells – Jazz/Folk/70’s & 80’s Covers
