His first solo record, self-released Unholy Town, led him to Austin, TX where he continued to work as a solo performer and multi-instrumentalist before co-founding the Austin based country-bluegrass supergroup, “High Plains Jamboree” with Beth Chrisman, Brennen Leigh and Noel McKay. In 2016 they were official showcase artists at Folk Alliance International, IBMA, and Americanafest where Rolling Stone called them, “One of the best things we saw”.

Union Specific is an indie country, rock, synth, electric, folk band from Austin, TX. Does all that really fit together? Singer/songwriter, Tyler Wallace seems to think so. Tyler was born and raised in the tiny West Texas town of Gail. Good luck finding that on a map. He has spent the last decade living and playing music in the city he loves, Austin, TX. That’s a lot of country roots, tangled up with urban living. And, sonically it’s all right there in the music. Steel and acoustic guitar are thrown in the same mix as drum machine and synthesizer with Tyler’s unmistakably broken voice above it all.

In 2008, Driven by curiosity and a longing for personal expression she debuted with “Giulia and the Dizzyness” (Cavern Jatt Records.) Then, in 2011, she released “Dropping Down” (Ugly Cat Music/Audioglobe) distinguished by her maturing skills as musician, producer, writer and arranger. By 2012, as a result of Giulia’s new energy and inspiration after having toured mainland Europe and moving to Austin to become part of the melting pot of cultural experiences in “the live music capitol of the world,” she released “Dust and Desire” (Ugly Cat Music/Audioglobe.) Just a couple of years later in 2014 she broke new ground with “The Funambulist” (Ugly Cat Music) Surrounded by a host of new friends and fellow musicians as “between the lines” she conceptualizes the tightrope walk she has been through, writing and singing of all she has experienced, learned and become.
