Twilight Tunes (Thursdays through June, free admission)
Move and groove to fun local artists in this concert series! Twilight Tunes, put on by Denton Main Street Association, has a FREE concert at the Courthouse-on-the-Square lawn every week (weather permitting with rain locations). Bring your blankets, drinks, picnic baskets, lawn chairs and the whole family!

Make Music Denton (June 21, various locations)
Make Music Day is a one-day event where free, live musical performances, opportunities to make music, and other musical events take place around the world on the longest day of the year. Musical festivities in Denton are part of a global celebration of music making in over 750 cities inspired by France’s Fête de la Musique.

Juneteenth (June 14-15, Fred Moore Park)
Celebrating a broad spectrum of African American heritage, this celebration includes music, softball tournament, a parade, basketball tournaments, barbecue-cook-off, and games for the entire family!

4th of July (July 4, various downtown locations and Apogee Stadium)
Here in Denton, we blow it out for our nation’s birthday, starting with a 5K, parade, family fun fest, music extravaganza at Dan’s Silver Leaf and end it with fireworks at Apogee Stadium. All events are free – the fireworks show is $10 for parking.

North Texas Fair & Rodeo (Aug. 16-24, adult entry $20, children 7-12 $5, children 6 and under FREE)
The true Texas experience is found at a rodeo, and we’ve got one of the best one’s around! Grab your hat and your chaps and enjoy the rodeo, food and fair fun of the North Texas Fair & Rodeo! Each night features at least two music performances from national and Texas country artists, a rodeo, side attractions and livestock shows, so get ready to cowboy up!
