What does a convention, a reunion and a birthday party have in common?
These are all examples of gatherings one can plan during the annual Planner’s Zone! This year’s expo is set for Oct. 31 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Denton Convention Center and promises to be a spookily good time!
This annual shindig, organized by the Denton Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), brings together hoteliers, local venues, caterers, dessert makers, party rentals and more, with the goal of helping anyone plan a perfect get-together.
“Too many people either don’t believe Denton has what they need or they think planning something in Denton will bust their budgets,” said Dana Lodge, CVB Director of Sales. “Neither is true.”
Attendees can register in advance at our Planner’s Zone page (under Let Us Know You Are Attending) or can register on the day of. The best part: the event is totally free!
Whether you’ve been tasked with planning that perfect holiday gathering for your co-workers or you’re determined to out-do your cousin for your child’s Quinceañera, the aisles of this expo have everything you need. Stop by and sample the exquisite catering of Vizcarra Hospitality or the delectable sweets from Candy Haven. Chat with the sales manager for the perfect venue, such as Andy B’s. And don’t miss a fan favorite: Frank Buck Zoo always shows up with some fun animals to promote visiting the zoo as a wild outing!
Can’t make it to the Planner’s Zone? The CVB is here for you, with a wide range of meeting services. Our two Certified Meeting Professionals (CMP) on staff are a one-stop shop for assisting meeting planners with lodging, catering, AV needs and so much more.
“The local businesses that participate demonstrate how they collaborate with each other to host conventions, meetings, events and visitors to our community,” Lodge said. “Experiencing this partnership is an advantage for meeting planners.”
