Join Artists Enclave of Denton County, The Bearded Monk, Texas Musicians Against Gun Violence and 7Feathers in their celebration of local nonprofit community soup kitchen, Our Daily Bread, during our festive FAB FRIDAY, August 5, 7 to 10 p.m. at The Bearded Monk.

bearded monkeyTX Fire Pies will be serving up delicious wood-fired pizza and Cakes With Alt will be on hand to provide delicious fresh food for purchase, with proceeds benefiting Our Daily Bread. Texas Musicians Against Gun Violence sponsor a very talented Denton singer-songwriter, Matt Grigsby, for the celebration, as well as the cool summer music of Too Soft and the Smooth Smells. TMAGV also welcomes the crowd-favorite newgrass (bluegrass and jazz fusion) band, Zeb Ernest with Tallgrass, for outdoor entertainment at The Bearded Monk.

All coming to FAB FRIDAY are strongly encouraged to bring donations for Our Daily Bread, including much-needed bottled water and items such as sunscreen, insect repellent, deodorant, baby powder, mouthwash, cough drops and razors (safety). Everyone donating these items will be entered to win raffle prizes provided by generous breweries and local artists. Good cause, cold brew, fresh food, live music, good times – FAB FRIDAY brings the best of summertime together for Denton residents with no cover charge and plenty of reasons to be there.

Artists Enclave, The Bearded Monk, 7Feathers and Texas Musicians Against Gun Violence are collaborating with local artists and arts supporters in support of Our Daily Bread. This community nonprofit serves an average of 206 meals a day to the hungry and homeless in Denton County and surrounding areas. A continental breakfast at 10 a.m., a substantial noon meal Monday through Saturday and a Monday evening meal are provided. In September, Our Daily Bread will celebrate serving over 700,000 meals to the hungry – men, women and children.
