The walls are filled with bright and colorful artwork. Each piece is a physical representation of the talent many Dentonites possess.
Owner Robin Huttash opened A Creative Art Studio to inspire support for local art and in turn, the artistic hub brought Denton’s creativity to life.
The gallery features affordable artwork from 45 local artists. Customers can purchase their favorites, or they can learn how to channel their own creativity. The gallery offers classes and workshops on painting, drawing, jewelry making, wood carving, stained glass and more. All ages are invited in on the fun, with classes for both children and adults.
Fans of live music are in luck as well! On every first Friday of the month, the gallery usually invites jazz musicians to perform, but do not be surprised if you see people dancing or juggling. These gatherings, part of First Friday Denton, encourage attendees to partake in an art project while enjoying the music.
Huttash hopes that the shop will encourage the support of local artists.
“Everything here is hand-made by people who live here and when you support the gallery, you are supporting them,” Huttash says.
